"Where Are You Going With That Face?" More Photo Album Home
Portland, Oregon
March 18, 2008
One of the newest attractions in Portland is the aerial tram that connects the waterfront area to the Oregon Health and Sciences University complex high above the city. With a growing campus and a lack of onsite parking, the university built the tram to transport its employees up the hill. But it's also a very cool experience for visitors, offering impressive views of the downtown skyline and the river. On a clear day (which it wasn't) there are also stunning views of Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Hood.
We met up with Amanda and her three kids and took the tram ride to the hospital. Once there, we decided to explore a bit, including walking across the sky bridge that connects two of the buildings. At one point, a doctor was walking next to us and Jackson (age 3) engaged him in a brief, but interesting, conversation.
Jackson: Where are you going with that face?
Doctor: Where am I going with my...face? Is that what you said?
Jackson: Where are you going that face?
Doctor: Um, I guess I'm going to work with it.
Jackson: Okay.
