This stunning building was the Third Minnesota State Hospital for the Insane, until the 1970s, and then a treatment center for another thirty years. It was saved from the wrecking ball a few years back when a developed proposal converting it to condos, but there's no sign of much going on there at the moment.  As for the crazy booming prairie chicken a few miles up the road? Well, he's not going anywhere...
