For a long time, I didn't think my buddy Sue was going to be able to make it to California for the weekend because of all her family commitments back in New York. But she pulled it off and that made us both very happy.  As I was waiting for her plane to land at LAX, Dave called and invited us to take a late afternoon sail to kick off the weekend. We had such a great time out on the water, we hardly noticed that the small outboard motor on the sailboat wasn't working and Dave had to maneuver us back to the marina with no motor and no wind.
