The apple trees in the front yard are bursting with fruit so we decided to put some of the harvest to good use, starting with a batch of fresh cider. Using an old wooden press (that is actually brand new), we crushed the apples into cider. Emily also got creative in the kitchen and baked a delicious apple crisp. Despite these tasty projects, we only scratched the surface of the apple bounty.
