Just a year ago, Jerry, David, and I were grateful to have five of our parents and parents-in-law healthy and with us. But the past few months have been incredibly difficult. We lost Dad first, followed by Alex's mom, and most recently, Jenny's mom. Each loss came suddenly and far too soon.

When Dave and Jenny purchased the lakehouse last year, I remember how excited they were to create a place where the family could come together for holidays and vacations. Fortunately, Bill and Daphne were able to spend some time there earlier this summer, which feels like an even greater blessing now.

Today, we joined about 50 of Daphne's friends and family at the lakehouse — experiencing the community with deep roots for their family, surrounded by the people Daphne loved — to honor her memory.
