Door County, Wisconsin
July 31, 2022
Door County is the Cape Cod of the Midwest, or so they say. A peninsula
with 300 miles of shoreline tucked between the waters of Green Bay and
Lake Michigan. It’s speckled with quaint little towns and offers an
abundance of sights to see - and don’t miss the cherries! (Don't worry - you couldn't possibly miss them.) We left our motel is Sturgeon Bay and, after getting coffee at the 5&J, headed for the Rusty Tractor Breakfast Barn in Egg Harbor where I had the Tractor Tires pancakes and listened to the guy at the next table explain how he plans to convert his chicken coop into a man cave. From there, we drove north, stopping along the way to get a bucket of cherries, see the goats on Al Johnson's roof, and drive through some beautiful waterfront towns before finally arriving in Northport at the end of the road. |
