Santa Rosa, California

We had planned to spend a couple of days at the cabin, but Mother Nature had other plans. Much of the river was under a mandatory evacuation so we had to stay at a nice motel in Santa Rosa instead. But there was still plenty of family time. Mom and Dad were staying at their apartment. Dave and Emily were in Santa Rosa, and Jerry had come north to help celebrate Dad's birthday. So Sunday evening, we all gathered at Brookside for dinner and cake in the backyard.
