We met over speechwriting when we all worked in the Governor's Office of Writing and Research in the last 1980s, but we also bonded baseball. Tonight, Lance, Jenny and I spent yet another warm summer evening together watching the Rivercats play out at Raley Field and celebrating Jenny’s 50th birthday.
