On our short vacation to southern California, we each got to pick an activity we hadn't done before. Lisa's choice was kayaking. I was a bit reluctant at first, figuring I'd probably tip over or crash into a boat. Katie and I had to work hard to keep up with Lisa, but it actually turned out to be a lot of fun to paddle around the bay and through the canals.
