For a buck, we not only got a delicious snack, but a trip down memory lane. I explained to Katie that there was no such thing as a microwave when I was her age. We cooked popcorn on the stovetop. My dad makes the best popcorn in the world, but every once in a while, we had Jiffy Pop instead.  

And all these years later, it's still a thrill when the oil starts sizzling and the popping corn pushes the foil into a giant ball.
