Dad used to tell the story of swimming across this bay on Christmas Eve, from his house on Giralda Walk to the Penninsula, where he and his buddies would buy a hamburger for a nickel, and then swim back home. 

He's never far from my heart. And tonight, I'm really missing him and the stories only he could tell.
