Saturday night, we had a lovely evening by the water with Dave, Jenny, and Mom — good company, great food, and a lovely sunset.

On Sunday, I met up with an old friend Michelle who was my first hire when I was launching a new brownfields cleanup loan program at the Department of Toxics about 25 years ago. She is visiting Long Beach for a few days with a group of girlfriends and agreed to spend an afternoon on the Duffy. She has such incredible energy and joy, and we had non-stop laughs reminicising about some of our work adventures and colleagues.
