When the season's biggest rainstorm appeared on the weather forecast, we had to rethink our plans for Danny, Emi and Maya's visit to Southern California. 

First stop was the Aquarium of the Pacific where we saw sharks, jellyfish, starfish, penguins and so much more.

A break in the rain on Sunday gave us time to check out a dinosaur playground in Long Beach, a new ramen restaurant and shopping at PCH&2nd, and a sunset Duffy cruise in the Bay.  Most of the homes aren't yet adorned with their holiday lights but it was a nice, quiet night to cruise around the canals with my new co-captain at the helm.
