Driving through this industrial area in Compton, you would never know that a beautiful and historic rancho sits at the end of one of the driveways. This was the first Spanish land grant in the area and spanned 75,000 acres.  Now it is a beautiful oasis with a museum, a home for retired priests, and gardens.  A group of us from work toured the place today to see how our sponsorship dollars have helped grow the native plant gardens and create an outdoor classroom.
