It's been great and amazing that Mom and Dad escaped getting COVID these past 30 months or so, but the luck ended last week when Dad got sick. They asked if I could come help out, especially since mom had a short trip planned that week with her sisters. It all worked out pretty well - Dad's recovering, mom got to have some family time, and I got some Dad-time.
