A yurt is a portable bent dwelling structure traditionally used by nomads in the steppes of Central Asia as their home. For us, it was a compromise between tent camping near Yosemite and checking into a hotel room down the road in Fresno. Our yurt had nearly all the comforts of home -- beds, a/c and heating, a small refrigerator and microwave. For the bathroom, we had to make a short trek down to the end of the campgroup road, but even that wasn't too bad. After dinner, Katie and Alizee streamed an episode of Pretty Little Liars and then we settled in for an evening of Go Fish, Gin Rummy, and Blackjack.
