We braved one of the season's biggest snowstorms to get into Yosemite for the weekend, thanks to Danny and Joe's expertise in tire chains and our persistence to track down the one open entrance to the park. The valley was practically empty and after we were settled in a modest hotel, discovered that we could have snatched up one of the many canellations at the Ahwahnee Hotel. Oh well, that lodging adventure will have to stay on my bucket list.
