Going to Yankee Stadium is something that I have wanted to do for many years and we had a great time watching the Yankees beat the Mariners 2-1.

Getting to the stadium was quite an adventure though. It was the first of many times during our vacation week that we were lost. Even with a map, we couldn't seem to get from Harlem to the bridge that crossed the river.

Finally, after driving around the same blocks several times, Joe saw a police car and pulled along side it. "How do I get to Yankee Stadium?" he asked.

The officer stuck his head out and said, "Follow this road until you come to a 'ROAD CLOSED' sign. Ignore the sign and go around it. When you come to some scaffolding, drive under it, and then... Oh nevermind, just follow us." And that's how we got a police escort to the game.
