Sacramento, California

August 1998

This summer, Lisa was part of Runaway Stage Production's children's workshop performance of The World According to Snoopy. The theater company was the brainchild of Lillian and Bob Baxter, who I worked with at Department of Toxic Substances Control. They leased the Eagle Theater in Old Sacramento for a few years and that's where the kids rehearsed and performed. The building is a reconstruction of California's first-ever theater building that was construction in 1949 and destroyed just three months later in the floods of January 1850.

Lisa was chosen to play Charlie Brown and I thought it would be cute to get her hair cut very short to look the part. I don't think she's ever forgiven me, but she did a great job acting and singing in the musical.
