This weekend, I remade the scrapbook of my Washington D.C. internship in the spring of 1981. I interned at The White House and one of the perks was getting to attend special events. This photo was taken on the South Lawn at a welcoming ceremony for President Portillo of Mexico. It's one of my favorite pictures from the trip, taken of me (on the right) with three of my fellow interns -- Jill Lawrence, Jill Janecek and Mark Robbins.
