The Stanford Mansion is a beautifully-restored historic landmark in the heart of downtown Sacramento. I think they still do public tours, although there's hardly every anyone around. But it's very nice to walk around the building and its grounds at lunchtime and imagine what life must have been like in there 100 years ago.
