You had to see where this was headed. What started as the idea of a
thoughtful conversation about the future of the Supreme Court following
the death of Justice Scalia quickly morphed into a beachfront
Grammy/dance party at Mark’s place. With a bullhorn, Mark did a loud
countdown to sunset from his deck, apparently a commonplace event. Then
some guy showed up, took Mark’s
credit card and returned a while later with all the fixings to make a
fabulous dinner of steak and scallops. Several other people showed up,
let’s just call them all FOMs (friends of Mark’s). And finally, Viv
appeared. Dancing ensued. Champagne bottles were
emptied. etc etc.
