Quite the Quilts More Photo Album Home
Sacramento, California
May 15, 2001
Displayed inside the building are eight 5'x5' "art quilts" -- fabric collages, made by a local artisan by layering, piecing, and then sewing over tiny bits of fabric that are painted or dyed. They depicit some of California's most environmentally-sensitive areas. They are beautiful -- these pictures don't even begin to do them justice. They are of images of the Monterey Bay Canyon, Central Coast, Delta, Headwaters Redwoods, Central Coast Foothills, Joshua Tree, Lake Tahoe and Mt. Shasta.
