It's easy to get an up close view of the work being done in the days leading up to parade. When we stopped by to look, they were recruiting volunteers to help put on the flowers and seeds. Lisa and I jumped at the chance. Our work assignment wasn't as glamorous as we'd hoped -- we sorted the seed-covered tiles that were used on the cobblestone steps -- but we also managed to avoid getting the sticky, smelly flower glue in our hair and clothes.
