A couple of months ago, I stopped by the condo to pick up the mail. There was a note on the community bulletin board offering a boat slip for rent. The homeowners' association president happened to be in the lobby for a meeting so I asked him if the deal was legit? It was, and after a couple of quick calls to the brothers, we agreed to snatch it up. Even though we didn't have a boat. From there, it didn't take long before we were texting back and forth on a nearly daily basis about Duffys for sale on Craigslist or that we'd seen around Alamitos Bay. Dave found this one and went to Newport Beach to check it out. The nice teak wood was a big selling point - classic looking, but well cared for and lots of recent upgrades. The decision was an easy one and two weeks later, she was delivered to Marine Stadium and then made her way to a great new home outside the Portofino.
