Ostrich farming is being eagerly touted by some as a very profitable venture - with the meat and the eggs fetching high prices. So it wasn't a surprise to us when Lloyd, who is always chasing the next big idea, decided to get into the business. He started with just a couple of birds, but at one point had dozens. But it wasn't long before the market for ostrich products plunged, while the cost of feeding and keeping the birds healthy stayed high, erasing any possibility of getting rich quick.   Still, for Danny and Lisa, visiting Grandpa's farm, seeing the ostriches, and even bringing home a giant (empty) eggshell from time to time was loads of fun.
