On our way home we took a side trip through Occidental, a small town tucked in Sonoma's redwood forests. The main street has several well-known Italian restaurants, leading Lisa to wonder why we've never made the short drive from the Russian River to have dinner there. The city is also home to many art galleries and interesting stores that ceretainly warrant a second, longer visit.
