In a planning meeting for the scenes in our TV commercial, one of which featured a cat watching a young girl brush her teeth, someone joked that the cat should turn off the faucet.

We all looked at each other and knew we had to find a way.

Well, this is LA and everyone’s got their own enterainment talents and an agent.  Even cats.  Our ad agency found Captain, a cat who – on command – will use his paw to move things.  Bingo.

I wasn’t able to be there on the day they shot the commercial but others texted me updates about the filming, including Captain’s tricks.

By now, I’ve seen this commercial at least 100 times in its various forms. And each time, I smile when the cat takes his turn and shuts off the running water.
