One important task was to select my name. You see, this little girl has many grandmothers and great grandmothers on both sides of her family, so the obvious names were already spoken for. But I remembered a character in a book - a proper Southern woman - who was called Mimsy. I also liked how it sounds similar to Sims. So that's what stuck.
