A woman standing next to me along the route of the California Marathon this morning commented that 'less than one percent of the world's population has ever finished a marathon.'  I suspect the numbers are even smaller than that. But our friend Chris joined that elite group Sunday when she completed the 26.2 mile journey from Folsom to Sacramento.
