Meanwhile, Joe, Katie and I decided to head over to the mall. We visited with Santa, rode the merry-go-round, and did absolutely no shopping. We were the kind of people retailers must hate. Hard to imagine them saying, "Come see our high rent shops, filled with eager staff. Park for free, and come in from the cold to enjoy our climate-controlled environment. Let us entertain you with the holiday decorations and lights we've purchased. But don't feel the least little bit of pressure to spend even one dime."
