At the parent orientation for Lisa's  Georgetown program, the dean gave us one piece of advice: Leave your kids alone this year.

The reason was simple.This is an intense, stressful program and the last thing students need is a parent calling or texting to check in often, offering advice, worrying when there's no immediate response or, worse yet, coming to rescue them.

I get it. (But doesn't mean I won't worry a tiny bit)
