This is Danny's first day in Kindergarten with Mrs. Blake, who we thought was teriffic. (For many years, we would run into her at the market and she would always ask about Danny - I think he was one of her favorites).
Unfortunately, there was so much turnover in the school throughout the year. Kids would be in Danny's class for a few weeks or months, and then gone for good. There were a lot of apartments in the Bear Flag attendance area and I think that contributed to situation. But because both Joe and I still have many friends we've known since elementary school, we wanted our kids to have the same experience of developing lifelong friendships. So the following year, we moved to Caroline Wenzel just a few blocks further away and found what we were looking for.
