After work, Michelle and I went over to the convention center for a huge season previw party by the Sacramento NBC affiliate, KCRA. Back in the day, stations had huge launch parties to get press and public attention for the lineup of new shows. It was a lot of fun. But what made the night most memorable was the after party. A group of us went over to Black Angus, which at the time was not just a restaurant but also had dancing. Shortly after we arrived, Michelle started talking to a guy and then he introduced me to his roommate, Joe. And the rest, as they say, is history.
