My childhood friend Joanne, who lived across the street on Vista Lane when we were both in third grade, now lives in Maryland with her husband and two kids. We've kept in touch over the years thru Christmas cards and got together during our last visit to Washington D.C. about 15 years ago.  Tonight, we met them for dinner at a seafood restaurant in Baltimore and had a great time -- even if she couldn't answer the burning question of what ever happened to her cool turquoise Easy-Bake oven that entertained us for many hours during summer of 1967.
