The not-so-great neighborhood that surrounded our high school is now emerging as a trendy part of town.

We met up here for lunch today. I haven’t see Sharon in about 20 years, and it’s been even longer for Christine and Naomi. It didn’t take long for us to get back into our old roles. 

Christine had purchased dried lemon slices which were very bitter. “Here, you try them,” I said to Sharon, to which Naomi replied, “you’re still as bossy as ever.” “Well you’re mean,” I joked back to her. “Yes, but I’m popular and you’re not,” Naomi quipped.
