I also remember returning to Rohnert Park after our trip. I was attending Sonoma State University for a semester. It was so cold, after being in Hawaii, and it was then I decided I needed to get back into Southern California, and UCLA, asap.

We spent the Thanksgiving holidays in Maui this year. I remember going
on a day-long tour around the island with a guide Dad met on the beach.
There is a section of road on the south end of the island that was off
limits to rental cars and most tourists, but this guy was able to drive
his van on that unpaved section which we thought was cool. I remember
seeing Charles Lindbergh's grave, the Seven Sacred pools, and collecting
some tree pods that could be used as paint brushes (which I gave to Aunt
Marty that Christmas and she pretended to be impressed). I also remember returning to Rohnert Park after our trip. I was attending Sonoma State University for a semester.
