In the summer garden, it's all about light and heat - reaching up to the sun, sending out blooms and elongating stems in pursuit of perfection. Our garden is small, but each year we manage a couple of those perfect plants.  The current treasure is the dozen or so cherry tomatoes that are ripening each day.
