Today, Tabby and several others were honored at the State Capitol for their heroic work during the massive floods earlier this year. During the ceremony, Tabby was introduced for her work with her church youth group to donate stuffed animals to children whose homes were destroyed in the storms.

She was nominated for the award by her local Senator, Dick Monteith with the help of his staffer and my good friend Shannon Picciano, and had a chance today to meet Governor Wilson, Lt. Governor Bustamante, Secretary of State Lockyer, two of our favorite morning DJs - Paul and Phil - and one of the best known personalities from the flood, Rodeo, a border collie who was rescued off the roof as flood waters submerged the home.
