At some point, I'm sure our kids will want to be in their home in Sacramento for Christmas morning, but I'm glad for these years when I can still wake up in my Pasadena bedroom and run downstairs to begin celebrating with the family. And for several years, the gatherings included Daphne and Bob Beer who joined us for nearly every holiday dinner.
