After work, I drove to Orange County for a dinner that was sponsored by a local water agency. Dr. Lucy Jones, a celebrity in the seismology world, was speaking about earthquake risks, and it was also a good chance to start meeting some of the people I'll be working with in the Southern California water world.  I found our table, took my seat, and introduced myself to the woman on my left. "Sue Sims?" she said. "Did you go to UCLA?" Uh, yes. "My name was Lisa Watson. We were roommates."   It was lots of fun reconnecting. We lived in Asher House in 1980 and 1981, and I definitely remember her. She's now a successful businesswoman in Orange County and her husband help runs the water district.
