I posed the idea of going to the foothills to cut our own Christmas tree, something we had done for many years when Danny and Lisa were young. Fortunately, Katie saw the possible pitfalls of my attempt to instill a bit of adventure into our Christmas prep and said she'd be just as happy to eat dinner at the noodle restaurant in the nearby shopping center and get our tree from the guy in the parking lot. Gotta love this kid....
