Each time we walk along the footpath to the cabin, there's a chance that something (or someone) falls down the hill. Fortunately, it rarely happens. 

But today, our luck ran out when Katie dropped Lisa's duffle bag. We watched it take a couple of bounces through branches and poison oak before landing next to a tree. Katie put on long pants, an oversized sweatshirt and shoes, and like a trooper, scurried down the hill and retrieved it.
