Donner Summit, California

I had the day off, and Lisa doesn't start her new job for another week so we thought we'd better do something interesting with our day. We decided to drive up to the mountains and did a great hike around Donner Lake. Most of the snow at lake level has melted by now. In fact, the campground was already open for the season, although there weren't any campers yet.  Just a nice day and beautiful scenery.
