For the past two days, St. Mary's College has been courting Lisa and several other students who were offered spots in their freshman honors program this fall. Parents were invited to stay for the first hour to get another sales pitch on the college's attributes and why the $49k annual cost shouldn't send us into panic mode. (It didn't work.) Then, we were sent away so our students could experience campus life, attending classes, eating meals, sleeping in the dorms and making new friends.

I had an evening meeting in San Jose, then drove back to Walnut Creek for the night. This morning, I met up with Joy and Jenny for breakfast before returning to St. Mary's to get Lisa and hear about her wonderful adventures.
