It still sounds strange to say, “I’m going to San Diego for the day.” Kind of like, “I’m going to Paris for the weekend.” But that’s exactly what I did. (The San Diego one, not Paris.) My co-worker Meena and I met with the director of the Water Conservation Garden a few miles east of San Diego and learned about the great education and community garden programs that are helping people save water and have beautiful gardens at their homes and businesses.
