Working for a government agency doesn't provide many perks. But every once in a while, there's a real great opportunity.

Today, I was invited to Club 33, the private restaurant in Disneyland's New Orleans Square. It was the culmination of a year-long environmental education partnership between the Walt Disney Company and the State of California.

We ate in the Trophy Room, intended to be Walt Disney's private dining room to entertain investors, celebrities and special guests. (Unfortunately, Walt died before the restaurant opened in 1967.)  During the meal (salmon on a bed of baby greens) the manager gave us a brief history of the club, including the story of how it got the place name.

A street address was required to get a state liquor license. This was Building 33 in Disneyland, and thus was given the address 33 Royale Street, Anaheim California for the application.
