Close the chapter on another summer. Sadly, it was time to button up the cabin for winter. But the day offered a few bright spots: - Dozens of large, beautiful Coho salmon splashing in the river as they made their way upstream. We've never seen so many of them at one time, and they put on quite a show. - Beautiful daughters, growing taller, smarter and more wonderful each day. - Mother's Cookies company has crumbled, but there was one last bag of pink and white circus cookies on the shelf to savor.   - Happy dogs, no leashes (that's redundant) - Knowing we'll be back here in six months for opening day.
