After two-plus decades of dashing out of the office in a mad race to pick up kids from daycare, serve dinner, put on costumes, and go trick-or-treating, it's been very strange these past few years to have kids who manage all the Halloween activities on their own. I get to just sit back and enjoy whatever the day brings at work and at home.
