One of my new co-workers invited us up to Newcastle, a great old town in the foothills, to celebrate her birthday and listen to Mick Martin and the Blues Rockers. We had seen the band about 10 years ago at a blues club in Sacramento. 

But we don't get out much anymore, so this was a nice treat to have a Friday night date with live music. One more note: do not adjust your screen settings. Because I didn't use the flash, these pictures appear blurry to the sober eye -- but actually look very much as things did to us by the end of the evening.
